Did you know the skin is the largest organ your body has? Just like we limit toxins, such as alcohol for the liver, and avoid smoking for our lungs, avoiding topical ingredients that have known carcinogenic affects is best for our skin. Think about it- everything you put on your skin gets absorbed into your body; do you want parabens, which are known to cause endocrine disruption & thus increase your risk for breast cancer, circulating in your bloodstream? Didn’t think so!

Just like with makeup, you can buy super pricey natural products, but there’s plenty of affordable options too. Just be sure to avoid the ingredients that have known negative affects- Parabens, Phthaltes, Parfum/Fragrerence, PEG,

Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Triclosan

Some of my favorites, that actually work are

-> Face:

- AM routine: Beautycounter Charcoal Bar

- Apoterraskincare Clarifying mist

- Beautycounter Antioxidant Day Cream

• PM Routine

- Beautycounter Cleansing Balm

- Beautycounter Radiance Serum alternating with Beautycounter Resurfacing peel as my treatment

- Beautycounter Antioxidant Day Cream. Note- if your skin is drier and you need a thicker moisutizer, try the supreme peptide cream

• 3x / week I exfoliate using Cocokind skincare Sea moss exfoliator

• 2-3x / week I mask. Beautycounter Charcoal mask if I’m breaking out. I’m also loving Cocokind chlorophyll mask for some brightening

-> Body: Beautycounter citrus mimosa bodywash && @thehoneypotco Sensitive wash

-> Hair: Beautycounter Daily shampoo & conditioner. Once per week I swap out conditioner for an ACV hair rinse made up of ACV & a few essential oils to help cleanse the scalp of build-up & help hair growth.

If my hair is extra dry, I'll alternate with the Rahua brand moisturizing shampoo & conditioner

I switch it up sometimes, but these are some my go-tos, after MUCH trial & error since switching to nontoxic skincare about 2 years ago
